Live Where you Play

Outdoors

The Rogue Valley is one big playground for all Southern Oregonians!

We have hiking galore! Dispersed throughout the valley, some trails cross into the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument. Watch your step, the monument helps protect one of the most biodiverse regions in the world!

Love action sports? We do too! If you’re not too busy mountain biking, try taking a rafting trip down the mighty Rogue River. If that's not your speed, head up to one of the many mountain lakes with a kayak and enjoy the serene peacefulness mother nature has to offer.

We don’t stop in the winter either... We pray for snow! Make the climb up to Mt. Ashland Ski Resort to experience a fun mountain with a great local vibe. Ski, snowboard, or just stay cozy in the lodge, it’s a great time for the whole family!

Arts

Southern Oregon is home to theater addicts. With multiple Tony Awards and accolades, the Oregon Shakespeare Festival puts on 11 world-class productions per year. However, the Shakespeare Festival is not the only theatre production in the valley. The Criterion, The Holly Theater, and many others put on amazing shows with extremely talented professionals.

If you prefer to see your acting on screen, head to the Ashland Independent Film Festival. For one-week in April this small town is taken over by directors, producers, and movie buffs.

Live music more your thing? Check out the Britt Festival in Jacksonville for you concert fix. Catch anything from big name rock and roll to classical symphonies on the hill.

Full and vibrant, the entire art culture of Southern Oregon has something for everyone!
